A color story from Besida's founder, Sophia
There’s a saying: “The eyes are the windows to the soul.” What you wear is a reflection of your soul, your emotions, your journey, and your need for healing.
When Sophia created the green adìrẹ̀ collection, she wasn’t just playing with color. She was living through it. She was going through a lot at the time; life wasn’t peaceful, clarity felt far, and the world inside her felt just as unpredictable as the one outside. But somehow, green kept calling her name.
There’s something about green.
It reminds you to breathe again.
To ground your feet.
To soften the storm.
So she made what she needed: a green adìrẹ̀ kimono, a kaftan dress, a maxi dress, a pair of shorts all hand-dyed in soft yet vivid swirls. Every inch of fabric intentional. Every piece designed not just to clothe, but to comfort.
We say this often at Besida: our clothes are not random. They’re conversations. They’re prayers. They’re medicine.
@shopbesida Girl. The colors you wear matter. And green is one of the most positive colors on the earth. Just go outside and tell me what you see #greenscreenvideo #green #fyp #colorstory #colortherapy #fashiontiktok #energy #educational ♬ original sound - Besida
Color isn’t just color, it speaks. And green says, “You’re still growing. Even here. Even now.”
So if you feel moody, chaotic, or overwhelmed, wear it green.
Not to pretend you’re okay, but to remind your soul that you’re safe, and there’s still peace to be found in the middle of the mess.
